All of which leads us on to a final point from the Emmaus story, and in its way one of the most important observations about biblical interpretation that we can make. It involves Luke 24:27, a verse which reads: “Then beginning with Moses and all the prophets, he interpreted to them the things about himself in all the scriptures.” (The emphasis, of course, is added).
